a collection. He stepped over to get a better view of the other end of the street. His jaw dropped at what he saw; a group of creatures, four, gathered ‘round and hunched over from what he could tell. He magnified his helmet’s visor for a better view. Terrifying. The power radiated off of them. O’Donnell swallowed hard. He looked closer, drawn by the glow of their eyes. He saw then what they were gathered for. A wounded Zealot soldier lay between the four monsters. Screaming in terror as one stepped closer prodding the wounded soldier with a large taloned foot. O’Donnell watched as the Zealot looked up at the creature, his eyes bursting with terror. The dying soldier fumbled for his side-arm, which he dropped as the creature gave an ear-piercing shriek. The creature came face-to-face with the wounded soldier, who was obviously crying, even in the rain. The Creature stood to full height, bringing back its arm in a motion that suggested an uppercut. The soldier yelled and the creature lunged. A pair of blades ran through the soldier’s skull, permanently silencing his cries of terror...
