The Beginning

“Unfair, mum!!! You said I could go, didn’t you!?” Starry Jennifer started. “I’m so sorry Star, but you should know you that your dad is busy so he can’t drive you to Ponia to help Posti.” Mrs Fila Jennifer tried hard to explain to Star why she can’t go to help her friend, Posti Milande, 33, at Ponia, a stable full of ponies that are staying there. Ponies there let people ride them for trails and some people also learn how to ride ponies so that their parents will buy them one.
Starry Jennifer was a cute 10-year old girl who lives at Heraster Poolit. She love ponies and horses and had one herself, but she loved to help out at Ponia. Starry was called Star since she was 4. Star’s pony, Moonlight, bought 10 months ago, was a beautiful pinkish pony bought at a pony-selling place. Star found herself in love with Moonlight cause of the mane, skin and eyes. Moonlight can turn into a pinkish magical pony when Star said the secret chant:

“Moonlight fly, Moonlight high

Shining in a pink light sky

Wish me luck, tuck me up

Give me magic, give me luck

Grant me a wish, give me a kiss

Turn my Moonlight when I like”

And Moonlight will turn into the beautiful magical pink pony that Star wished. Star had a plan. “Mum... Why not I ride Moonlight there, please?” Finally mum gave in “Okay...okay... you can ride Moonlight there but be careful, okay? It’s snowing out there so you will stay at Posti’s till snowing season is over but be a good girl okay? Star! Answer me!!!” Star nodded happily. She knows it will be fun to stay at Posti’s farm.

Permission, The Farm

At Posti’s farm Star thanked Posti profusely “Thanks a thousand, Posti.” “Oh... It is really fine and I really like Moonlight to stay here for a few weeks. Moonlight’s a really good and pretty girl.” Posti said. Moonlight whinnied happily. Although Moonlight is a pony, she understood every word anybody says. Moonlight can also understand other foreign languages like Cantonese or Malay or many others. Moonlight went into Posti’s gigantic house that was in the middle of the gigantic farm. The enormous-sized house was as huge as a mansion. At night, Star crept out quietly out with Moonlight who also walk on her hoofs quietly, aware not to wake Posti up. It was so quiet that a scratch of a pencil could be heard. Moonlight’s secret could never be known by anyone except Moonlight herself and Star, if someone bad were to use Moonlight’s strong magic to do something bad. The Star’s country would be doomed.

Star said the turning spell:

“Moonlight fly, Moonlight high

Shining in a pink light sky

Wish me luck, tuck me up

Give me magic, give me luck

Grant me a wish, give me a kiss

Turn my Moonlight when I wish”

With that, Moonlight transformed into a pinkish pony with silky mane and beautiful wings. Star mounted on Moonlight and they flew into the grey sky together. After a few flying rides, Star and Moonlight went back to Ponia. Star dismounted from Moonlight’s back and scrambled back to her temporary room.

The next morning, Star shouted in alarm when she noticed that Moonlight had disappeared. Why?

She thought. Moonlight was always a good girl, she could not have ran away. Star was worried, cold sweat dripped down her porcelain pale face. Moonlight, where are you?

Star thought hard. She had no clue where Moonlight could have went to alone. Desperate, she went to the only place she could think of.

Help, Another Spell And Yet Another Spell

Star ran to the secret point to find Magiclight, Stormlight, Starlight, Shinelight, Sunlight, Songlight, Flashlight and Fanlight, all sisters of Moonlight. I am sure that they could help, they are Moonlight’s sisters, aren’t they?

Star got to the secret point and whispered:

“Magiclight, Stormlight, flying in the world so high,

Next is Starlight then Shinelight, with cute little Fanlight closebehind,

Third is Sunlight and Songlight,

Last but not least flies Flashlight...”

In a blink of an eye, the magical ponies stood gracefully in front of Star’s eyes. Magiclight was eldest because her magic was the strongest in Moonlight’s sisters group. Although the same age, the sisters respect each other as elders if that pony’s magic was the most powerful one of them all. Fanlight’s power was the lousiest one but Fanlight was the happiest pony and the most cheerful one too in the group. Star started to explain, “Sorry to call you but this is an emergency; Moonlight is lost since this morning.” Magiclight asked Star to say the undoing spell for her:

“Pony fly, Pony high,

Glowing brightly in the sky,

Never cry, always fly,

Let go of your magic nice,

Turn into a cute big prize,

Return to your owner and say hi.”

Magiclight and the other sisters turn into shaggy grey ponies. They set off to look for Moonlight as Star sat on Magiclight’s back. 

Running and running, trotting and trotting. Star wondered why won’t they fly and that was when she realized that it was a bright morning and magical ponies identities were not allowed to be known or shown to any other people or person. Even Star’s mother or father didn’t know it. Star grew more and more worried with every step that Magiclight took...

Star said the feeling spell:

“Moonlight lost, Moonlight costs,

Worry will your owner toss,

Flying bright, shining high,

Use your magic where belonged,

Pass it to your owner tons,

Let your owner’s heart show off...”

 

A Feeling, A Location

Star had tried the spell before when Moonlight went out at night as she had a nightmare that had scared her so much and it actually told Star where Moonlight was. Finally, Star pictured out where Moonlight was. Moonlight was caught in a beach bay and her silky mane was all tangled up. Oh no! Star thought as she also saw that Moonlight had some injuries and a deep cut on her neck! But no matter how much Star had tried to concentrate she still could not see the kidnapper’s face.

Star was so worried that Magiclight got to have to comfort her without using magic. Magiclight said gently “Sit on my back Star, I’ll fly while my sisters follow me.” Star climbed on Magiclight’s back and they flew into the morning sky.

They flew closer and closer to the destination as Star felt that Moonlight was closer than ever. At the destination, Star ran as fast as she could, determined to find out who the thief was…

The Journey To Moonlight

Oh! Moonlight! Please be safe!

Star silently thought to herself. "Is it here?" Star heard Magiclight ask. Star gave a look around. "Yes, yes, here it is." Star said nervously, more to herself than to Magiclight. "Good." Magiclight whispered gently as she galloped. "But please, Star, do calm down. It would do no good for Moonlight to feel you getting uptight." Magiclight continued saying, soothingly. Star nodded in agreement as she tried to calm down. Where are you, Moonlight?

Star gave a silent thought.
