Welcome!

Hello,

My name is Emily and I am the author behind many of the beautiful and educational books you can find through our brand. I would like to be the first to welcome you to our brand. Our organization is more than just a book publisher. We are actually a collection of educators, tech wizards, and explorers. I grew up as an only child in a military family. Always moving around meant very long and very boring trips often. To keep my mind busy, I always loved to read. Even from a young age, I loved the idea that a story can take you as far away as you allow it to. I also began to develop a passion for photography. Always moving meant it was important for me to document what I saw around myself before it changed again. As I got older, I became an educator, but I never forgot how powerful photos can be in helping inspire dreams and spur imagination and made sure to include them whenever possible while teaching.

2020 has turned out to be a very challenging year for the majority of the world, and I was no different. Soon after the pandemic hit, I lost a job that I loved and was hugely passionate about. I felt lost and adrift in a time that was, quite frankly, pretty bleak. I walked my dog a lot during those early days of unemployment. I always enjoyed my outings, not only because it got me out of the house, but also because people were always happy to see my dog. Wherever we went, people smiled and seemed to come alive. This was my inspiration. I needed to get back out there and start doing good again. To tell stories that are fun and heartwarming. That was the inspiration for these books and our website. I thought we could do more. Allow for the reader to do more. Give readers not only good stories but ownership and creative control over their material in a way that hasn’t been done before. We are constantly trying to innovate. To allow readers to push the boundaries between art and reading. In doing so, we created Mymichelangelo.com.

The Team

I also realized that I knew many people that could help create heartwarming and interesting books. I am fortunate to know a number of people from many walks of life, many of which had interesting stories to tell and engaging photographs to work with. Many of them are part time photographers. They are also divers, explorers, guides, and adventurers. I felt that they could all help tell great stories. Our content contributors live all over the globe and are international. Many more of their wonderful stories will be told in the coming months as their books are finished. Whether you are reading one of our pre-made books, opted to make a personal scrapbook, or even just ordered a stylized print of photos, we work hard to ensure our customers are able to engage with literature and art in new and creative ways.

Big Tex Finds His Family

It was a bright and beautiful day. Unfortunately, there was no time for play.

For, today was the day Tex would find the family with which he would stay.

 

 

 

He did not know exactly where to look, but here was a family of four to which he first took. They already had a pet. And, when he asked to go home, they would not relent. No, they said, why, you are not even made of cement!

 

 

 

He didn’t find them in the park. Even when he tried to bark.

 

 

 

He did not find them in the towers.

 

 

 

Nor did he find them in the flowers.

 

 

 

He was surprised when they weren’t up a tree. Maybe, he said to himself, I’ll always wander alone and free.

 

 

 

He made a friend along the way but knew he couldn’t stay to play. At least, not today.

 

 

 

Maybe, he thought to himself, I could find my benefactor. Especially, If I’m on this tractor.

 

 

 

Where oh where is my family Tex thought to himself as he searched the city. He enjoyed that the horse was witty. Unfortunately, it was of no help. Even when Tex gave a loud yelp.

 

 

 

After a long day of searching and no family found, Tex decided to lay down.

 

 

 

He had lovely dreams of days on a couch spent with a friend. After so long searching, his heart was on the mend.

 

 

 

But then he awoke with a start. This was them. He knew with all his heart!

The girl approached first with the boy close behind. When they crouched down, the love was clear in their mind.

 

 

 

Tex knew right away. His family had finally found him after some delay. They also had been looking all day!

Lots of sloppy kisses and good boys were shared all around. Tex was very glad, to have finally been found.

Below the Waves: Diving on the Hawaiian Reef: Diving on the Hawaiian Reef: is a stylized photography-based educational book about various ocean life found off the Hawaiian coast. This is a fact-based book that educates about native Hawaiian sea life. The photos have all been taken off the coast of Oahu in Hawaii. Enjoy beautifully stylized photos of underwater marine life paired with interesting and fun facts about the critters featured. 

Big Tex & Friends: Tex Finds His Family: Tex the dog finds his family. This is a 14-page book about how Tex finds his adopted family, and the characters he meets along the way. This book is set in Dallas Texas and is the first in our series Big Tex and Friends. 

Big Tex & Friends: Tex Meets the Cats: Tex the dog meets three kittens and has to learn to be friends with them. This is a 10-page book about how three new kittens move in with Tex and he must learn to live with them. Along the way, not only does he befriend the new additions, but he falls in love with them. 

Big Tex & Friends: Tex's Day at the Stock Yards: Tex the dog explores the Fort Worth Stockyards and finds new friends. A 14-page book about how Tex finds friends and adventure in the western setting of the Fort Worth Stock Yards in Texas. 

Big Tex & Friends: Tex's Day In: Tex the dog spends a rainy day inside but finds plenty of adventure to keep him busy. This is 7-page book is about a dog left inside on a rainy day who entertains himself. 

Locomotion in the Ocean: A stylized photography-based book about various ocean life found off the Hawaiin coast and how they move about. This is a rhyming based book and educates about sea life. The photos have all been taken off the coast of Hawaii. 

My First Safari: A stylized child's photography book about the wildlife seen during a safari adventure. This 13-page book is rhyming based and features facts about the animals seen. Giraffes, Ostriches, and more are seen in this book.
