“Things like this…” He paused, his hand went through his thick locks and he let out a deep breath, “Things like this don’t just happen.”
Thom looked down at Walter, who was down on his knees. “How could you let this happen, Walt?”
Walter looked up with tears in his eyes, “I swear it was an accident,” he cried.
The men were in silence for a minute. The forest around them creaked beneath the light breeze that swayed over the trees.
Walt stood from his position and reached the same level as Thom, as both men stared at the corpse.
